We love the Zi8 pocket camcorder from Kodak. These units are currently being phased out with a new version due in Australia in the next couple of months.
Recently we experienced an issue with our very own Zi8 camera – it appeared to not want to hold charge or event record. We tried changing SDHC cards, tried another battery you name it we gave it all a go. Then doing a little research on the net (which I should have known to do prior to all the work) I found a Firmware update for the camera (follow this link: http://goo.gl/G3xjP) and low and behold after completing the steps outlined I had my Zi8 back up and running just like normal.
We hope this helps anyone else with Zi8 issues.
